FERRIDAY — Two young males allegedly ran off with approximately $300 Monday night after robbing two Chubby’s Dairy Bar employees at gunpoint.
The incident occurred just after 8 p.m. in the parking lot of Chubby’s, and Ferriday Police Chief Richard Madison said the suspects approached the victims at their vehicle and demanded money.
Chubby’s owner Donna Hill said the suspects were wearing masks and hoodies, and the suspects were after the money in the store’s money bag that one employee had when leaving the store.
No arrests have been made, and Madison said the police are following several leads and have interviewed several people that have given them information.
No one was hurt during the incident, Madison said.
Madison is asking store owners to stay vigilant and to call the police department if they need assistance prior to transporting money to or from their business, he said.
Anyone with information on the incident should call Madison or Chief Investigator Derrick Freeman at 318-757-3606 or 318-757-3607.
Madison said Hill has posted a reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
