NATCHEZ — The Adams County Christian School boys soccer team had little trouble finding the back of the net Tuesday afternoon.
The Rebels netted nine goals, including hat tricks from Justin Allgood and Lester Wells to defeat Columbia Academy 9-1.
“On offense our guys came out smoking today,” head coach Jim Allgood said. “We were very aggressive against a very aggressive team from Columbia Academy. Shots just happened to find the back of the net pretty easily for us today. Overall we took around 27 shots on goal to their 8.”
Trey Fleming and Hunter Lindsey also joined the scoring parade for the Rebels. Fleming had two goals and Lindsey scored his first career goal.
“Hunter Lindsey has been a great defender for me since day 1 of joining the soccer team,” Allgood said. “Hunter told me earlier in year he was going to score a goal this year, and he completed that task tonight. I am very proud of him for that.”
The Rebels improved to 8-1-1 on the season and will face a tough Hillcrest Christian School team Friday with the varsity kicking off at 3 p.m.
