NGC to gather for cookie exchange
Published 12:02 am Sunday, October 28, 2012
With the holiday season quickly beginning to sneak upon us, the ladies of the Natchez Garden Club would like to invite each of you to a fun-filled morning brimming with sugar, spice and everything nice.
At 10 a.m. this Thursday, there will be a cookie exchange along with the monthly meeting for members and friends to come and enjoy. If you would like to be a part of this sugary day, please bring three dozen cookies of your choice to exchange with the others. By the end of the meeting, each of you will be able to take a dozen home when the swap is over. What a treat!
Be sure that your cookies are scrumptious and something that others would enjoy giving a try over the holiday season! This is a good way to share recipes and goodies with everyone before the hustle and bustle of Thanksgiving and Christmas begins.
Along with these delectable sweets, we will have tea, coffee and hot chocolate to sip and enjoy!
Also, we will have Ms. Brenda Zerby of Moreton’s Flowerland to help each of you jump start your holiday decorating for this year. Whether an arrangement for your tabletop or a new look for the front door, we are sure to be in for a treat with a lesson on how to create our own Moreton’s masterpiece.
We all know that it is easy to pull out the same old décor and recycle it every season; however, why not try something new and fun with the ideas that Ms. Zerby is sure to share with us!
As always, be sure to bring a can of fruit for the Stew Pot to help them stock up for the holidays. This is a busy time of the year for them and all that we can do to help is appreciated.
It is always nice to be able to do for others during the holidays, and this is the perfect opportunity to do so for others in your own community!
Also, bring hygiene products for the Guardian Shelter to give them a helping hand, as well.
I know that this time of year can get a little hectic, but be sure to take some time out of your day on the first to come and enjoy some treats with the ladies of the Natchez Garden Club!
If you have any questions, please be sure to call the garden club’s office at 601-443-9065.
