Franklin County shines in big win over Amite Co.

LIBERTY — Chris Robinson had two short touchdown runs and an 81-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to open up the second half as the Franklin County Bulldogs routed the Amite County Trojans 48-0 Friday night.
Robinson finished 59 yards rushing on 10 carries, and his two 1-yard scoring runs helped Franklin County take a 28-0 halftime lead. Jadarius Davis didn’t have to throw the ball very much, as he completed five of eight passes for 67 yards and one touchdown.
Bernard Selmon was the Bulldogs’ leading rusher with 67 yards on seven carries and two touchdowns. Jerry Hannon led their defense with nine tackles and two fumble recoveries. Franklin County (3-2) plays at Lawrence County at 7:3 p.m. Friday.
