Walsh-Palmer

Mr. and Mrs. Randy Walsh of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Bretta Jean Walsh to James Oscar Palmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Palmer of Natchez.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Our Lady Academy in Bay St. Louis and a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville where she received a bachelor of science degree in forestry and wildlife management. She is employed by Mississippi Forestry Commission as the assistant coordinator for the Mississippi Invasive Plant Control Program in the southwestern district.
She is the granddaughter of Wilda Butler and the late Donald Butler of Smithdale and the late Tommie Jean Walsh of Flowood.
The groom-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez and is also a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville where he received a bachelor of science degree in forestry and wildlife management. He is also employed by Mississippi Forestry Commission as a forester for Scott County.
He is the grandson of James and Carolyn Harcrow of Mount Ida, Ark., and the late Oscar and Christine Palmer of Eldorado, Ark.
The wedding will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Hebron Baptist Church in Smithdale.
A reception will follow at Jolimar in Summit.
