VIDALIA — In an effort to prevent flies from gathering on their trash, the Concordia Parish Police Jury discussed Monday night the renewal of their residential trash pick up contract.
Diamond Disposal of Ferriday has handled residential trash pick up for Concordia Parish residents for the past 12 years.
The current contract doesn’t expire until December, but Police Jury President Melvin Ferrington said the jury wants to get a head start and begin advertising bids for a new contract as early as next month.
The jury’s attorney will review the contract before bids are advertised next month.
