NATCHEZ — An early morning fire destroyed one Beaumont Street house Saturday.

Natchez firefighters responded to a fire call at 6 a.m. and discovered a house engulfed in flames.

Two stations responded to the call and put out the fire by 7 a.m. when another shift of fire fighters took over to put out hot spots and make sure the fire did not reignite.

According to the fire department, all of the family members in the house escaped with no injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
