Three arrested for drugs in parish

VIDALIA — Routine traffic patrol by Concordia Parish Sheriff deputies near Vidalia last week resulted in the arrests of three people in two separate drug-related cases.
Deputy Randy Lipscomb and Deputy Jamie Lipscomb reportedly witnessed a vehicle driven by Brenda Wagley, 35, of Ferriday, drive through a stop sign at the intersection of Airport Road and U.S. 84, according to a press release from public information officer Kathleen Stevens.
After running the stop sign, Wagley traveled across the four highway lanes and drove into a ditch on the north side of the highway.
The deputies stopped the vehicle as it re-entered the roadway.
Wagley and her passenger, Donna McGlothin, 54, of Vidalia, allegedly had marijuana packaged for resale in the vehicle, two sets of scales and one marijuana blunt.
McGlothin was charged with manufacture or distribution of schedule I drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Wagley was charged with manufacture of distribution of schedule I drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, stop sign violation and failure to maintain control.
In a separate case, the deputies arrested Jerry Wayne Brownell, 32, 104 Bayou Drive, Vidalia, on charges of felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after stopping him at the intersection of Rountree and Eagle roads.
Brownell was reportedly in possession of two marijuana joints, a pack of rolling papers, filters and a smoking pipe filled with marijuana.
