Round up your crew for Mayfest
Published 12:02 am Friday, May 4, 2012
It’s time to pull on your boots and saddle up for Trinity’s Mayfest 2012, “Roping in all Saints since 1952!” Saturday.
The festivities open on the Natchez bluff at 9 a.m. Cowboys and cowgirls of all ages will gather for a fun-filled day of activities including inflatable jump houses, slides, obstacle courses, T-ball games, a dunking booth, face painting and a cake walk around the gazebo.
Three lucky ranch hands’ names will be winners of the elementary, middle and high school baskets drawn at the end of the morning.
A sweet tooth basket, an iPod Touch with accessories, and a Gas & Go basket are up for grabs. Make sure you ride in before noon for your last chance to purchase a winning ticket.
Later that night, mosey on down to Trinity’s gym for the adult night party beginning at 7 p.m.
Blackjack, roulette and craps tables with professional dealers promise a galloping good time for all!
Back by popular demand are the live and silent auctions. Just a few of the nearly 60 unique items up for bid this year include a vacation to San Miguel, Mexico, hand painted bedroom furniture, dinner for 10 at Rip Rap, a shopping spree at Jack & Stella Boutique, jewelry for the cowgirls, and a hunting trip for the cowboys.
Trail bosses ready to lasso in football season can snag LSU tickets, Saints tickets with a weekend stay in the Big Easy, or find their boots in Boston’s Gillette Stadium cheering on Trinity’s own Patriot, Stevan Ridley.
Trinity’s buckaroos have been riding the range selling tickets for our raffles.
Drawings for the lucky winners will be at the end of adult night.
Purchase your tickets from any Trinity student or at either Mayfest event.
A $10 ticket puts your name in the cowboy hat for a chance to wrangle a stay at Gulf Shores Plantation, an iPad2, a Palace Casino getaway complete with golf and dinner, a custom built playhouse, or a package complete with everything you need for Trinity tailgating.
Hit the bulls eye when your ticket is drawn for your choice of $3,000 cash or tuition for the upcoming school year.
Grab your hat, put on your jeans, and hit the trail for Trinity Mayfest 2012.
It’s a round up you will not want to miss!
