The Boys & Girls Club of the Miss-Lou is joining others Boys & Girls Clubs across the country in opening its doors to the community during the annual celebration of National Boys & Girls Club Week this week.

For more than 75 years, Boys & Girls Clubs have celebrated this week in a variety of ways to support the organization’s over-arching goal of helping all children achieve a great future.

On Thursday, the Boys & Girls Club of the Miss-Lou will open its doors to the community for visitors to learn how clubs encourage youth to be great — all while having fun.

Visitors will have a chance to see where many young people are able to develop good character and citizenship; grow academically and learn healthy lifestyles.

These three outcome areas support the organization’s mission of preparing the next generation for success.

So come join the Boys & Girls Club of the Miss-Lou at our open house in celebration of National Boys & Girls Club Week!

The open house will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday. The club is located at 64 Homochitto St. in Natchez.
