VIDALIA — U.S. Sen. David Vitter, R-Metairie, will have a town hall meeting Thursday afternoon in the council meeting room at the new Vidalia City Hall.

Vitter will address attendees with a statement before opening the floor for a question and answer session, Mayor Hyram Copeland said.

“It’s a great opportunity for our citizens to get to know their U.S. senator and ask him any questions they may have,” Copeland said. “We invite the public to come out, and we appreciate Sen. Vitter coming to Vidalia.”

The meeting will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
