Buddy and Sandra O’Berry of Baton Rouge announce the engagement of their daughter, Crystal Brooke O’Berry to David Andrew Sawyer, son of Betsy Sawyer and the late Glen A. Sawyer of Vidalia.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is employed by Walk On’s and Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge. She is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Kate Butcher and the late William B. and Ruth McNeil.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Louisiana High School and is employed by Assured Flooring and Countertops of Baton Rouge.

He is the grandson of Dick and Elizabeth Power of Vidalia and the late Eugene and Maxine Sawyer of Jennings, La.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012, at University United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge.

A reception will follow at the old State Capitol Senate Chambers.
