Mr. and Mrs. Gary L. Jones of Meadville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lindsay Elizabeth Jones to Johnathon Scott Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Covington of Wesson and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Smith of Mendenhall.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Franklin High School, Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the University of South Alabama with a bachelor of science in radiologic sciences, with a concentration in radiation therapy.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norris Ferguson “Dude” Jones, Jr. of Meadville, the late Mr. George Richard Ramsey of Monterey and Mrs. W.C. Johnson of Roxie.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Lou Smith and the late Mr. John Smith of Brookhaven, Mary Elizabeth Smith of Brookhaven and the late Mr. Kermis L. Hutchinson of Silver Creek.

He is a graduate of Brookhaven High School and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He is employed by Brookhaven Honda.

The wedding will be at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Monmouth Plantation in Natchez with the Rev. David E. Cox officiating. A reception will follow on the Mississippi River bluffs of Rosalie Mansion. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
