Mr. Joseph James and Mrs. Deloris Ford, both of Natchez, announce the engagement of their daughter, Josa Rae James to Maurice Spencer, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Cleveland Spencer Jr. of Woodville.

The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman. She is employed by the Veterans Administration Medical Center and Brentwood Behavioral Health in Jackson.

She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Elouise Bass and the late Mr. George Bass Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Foster James Jr. , all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Wilkinson County High School in Woodville. He is employed by Recover Care, LLC in Flowood.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Jeanette Ward Bradford and the late Mr. Joe Ward Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Spencer Sr., all of Woodville.

The wedding will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 in Natchez.

A reception will follow at the Natchez Community Center.
