Future’s not so bright: Suspect takes shades

NATCHEZ — A storeowner on Martin Luther King Jr. Street might be wishing he had as much protection of his business on Sunday as a burglary suspect now has against harmful UV rays.

According to a Natchez police report, 80 pairs of sunglasses valued at a total of $600 and approximately 24 shirts valued at a total of $200 were reported stolen Sunday from MLK Fashion at 809 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St.

Storeowner Ali Omar reported the burglary Sunday to the Natchez Police Department, but no suspects were named.
