Parish narcotics force shuts down meth lab

VIDALIA — The Concordia Narcotics Task Force shut down a meth lab Wednesday night, arrested three Vidalians and issued warrants for a fourth who fled from officers.

Narcotics officers Lt. Greg Jackson and Lt. Chris Groh arrested Jennifer Brandenburg, 30, 115 Ralph Road, Jennifer Ray, 48, 221 North Grove and Burnice Leon Allen Jr., 46, 225 North Grove Cirle, all on charges of creation or operation of a clandestine lab, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ray was additionally charged with possession of schedule IV drugs — Xanax.

Warrants on the same charges were issued for Robert James Orcutt, 37, 221 North Grove Road, who is believed to be the meth “cook,”after he fled the scene.

Charges are pending against all four for possession of schedule II drugs — methamphetamine — in excess of 11 grams.

Officers reportedly found crystal meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the coffee table of the 221 North Grove Road residence, with the fully operational meth lab beneath the table.

The task force also made a slew of other drug related arrests Wednesday and Thursday:

•While searching for a suspect in two other cases Wednesday night, the narcotics team discovered Otis J. Frazier, 26, 200 Belle Grove, hiding in a closet at a Vidalia apartment complex.

Frazier was charged with possession of schedule II drugs — cocaine — and a bench warrant for failure to pay back fines.

•Officers arrested Ricardo S. Tuesno, 24, 1914 Union St., Natchez, and his passenger, Dwone Ragland, 21, 1454 Walker St., Natchez, as they pulled into the driveway of the same apartment complex.

The two had no identification, driver’s license and reportedly had marijuana and open containers of alcohol in the vehicle.

Tuesno was charged with possession of marijuana — felony, violation of the open container law, improper windshield and no driver’s license issued.

Ragland is charged with possession of marijuana and violation of the open container law.

•James H. Anderson Jr., 20, 341 Old Washington Road, Natchez, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor after he drove up in the apartment parking lot after midnight with a 14-year-old Natchez youth, who was reportedly on house arrest for having drugs at school and was violating his court-ordered curfew.

•Michael J. Dossett, 32, 217 Wallace Circle, Vidalia, was arrested early Thursday morning on charges of driving under suspension, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, improper lane use and obstruction of justice.

Dossett reportedly fled from officers while on Westside drive near Vidalia and allegedly swallowed illegal narcotics.

•Tommy C. Reid Jr., 754 Belle Grove Circle, and Margie Dixon, 201 Ralph Road, were arrested on charges of distribution of schedule II drugs late Wednesday night.

During the execution of warrants against the pair, narcotics officers found an amplifier and microphone reported stolen during a recent burglary of a Howard Road church in Vidalia.

Charges for possession of stolen goods are pending against Reid and Dixon.

According to officers, charges are also pending in the church burglary case against a suspect now in custody in a Mississippi jail.
