The Krewe of the Natchez Indians is looking for floats, bands, car clubs, motorcycle clubs, marching units and other Miss-Lou folks who are looking for a good time to come and be a part of our first Mardi Gras parade.
The first Krewe of the Natchez Indians Mardi Gras parade will travel the streets of downtown Natchez at 6 p.m. Friday. Line-up for the parade will begin at 3 p.m. on Broadway Street.
The theme of the Krewe of the Natchez parade this year is “Mardi Gras comes to Natchez,” which will give everyone a wide range of decorative possibilities.
Majestic Queen VI YaMika S. Thomas and Big Chief VI Reggie Thomas, along members of their royal court, and Krewe Founders Robert and Jacqueline McNeely, will grace the Krewe’s first parade with their royal presence.
Mardi Gras in Natchez continues to be a great event, and 2012 will definitely be the best yet.
While Mardi Gras is a great social event, it is also good for our community. Not only do we purchase supplies for our events in the Miss-Lou, but the krewe gives back to the community by way of charitable donations throughout the year.
If you are ready to “Laissez le bon temps roullez,” then come and join the Krewe of the Natchez Indians for our first parade.
The krewe is proud to announce that sponsors for this year’s parade are Isle of Capri Casino, Natchez Convention and Visitors Bureau and Waste Pro.
If you want to join us for some good times and exciting Mardi Gras fun, call me or Jacqueling McNeely at 601-442-4350.
Robert McNeely is the chairman of the Krewe of Natchez Indians parade.
