The Natchez Garden Club is very proud to announce that Mrs. Joan McLemore, historian and professional storyteller, will be join us to share the history of Founding Fathers and gardeners George Washington, James Madison and Thomas Jefferson.
Each of these leaders believed agriculture to be the noblest of occupations and also the foundation of our democracy.
Mrs. McLemore, a Natchez resident as well as a Natchez Garden Club member, was the first librarian of the Franklin County Public Library.
She has been a professional storyteller for more than 26 years; her stories are based on family history as well as extensive research.
Please join us for this historical and entertaining event Thursday at Elms Court located at 542 John R. Junkin Drive.
The time is 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The cost is $15 per person and reservations — which were due by Tuesday — are required.
