NATCHEZ — Vershal Hogan, a native of Choudrant, La., has returned to The Natchez Democrat as a reporter.

Hogan worked at The Democrat from 2007 to 2010, covering Concordia Parish government, schools and law enforcement. He left in August 2010 to complete his bachelor’s degree in journalism at Louisiana College.

He also worked at The Democrat for a short time during the Mississippi River flood in 2011 as part of a special assignment due to the flooding.

With degree in hand, Hogan returned in December and will now cover Adams County government and economic development.

Hogan and his wife, the former Susannah Morris of Vidalia, live in Vidalia with their three young children.
