Vidalia — The Vidalia Police Department is still looking for one of the three men who attempted to rob the Carter Street Pizza Hut on Dec. 19.
An arrest warrant was issued on Dec. 21 for Thlungas M. Prater, 22, for attempted armed robbery.
Prater is suspected to be one of three males that entered the business in dark, hooded clothes.
One of the offenders approached an employee at the cash register and displayed a gun strapped to his side.
Vidalia Police Chief Arthur Lewis said the employees escaped out the back area of the store.
Puzzled by the employees’ actions, the offenders fled the scene without taking anything.
The men left the scene in a gray, full-size Lincoln Town Car, and witnesses told police they drove off in the direction of Natchez, Lewis said. Vidalia Investigator Randy Stockman said Prater has a Jackson address, but his last location was in the Natchez area.
Anyone with knowledge of the location of Prater should contact the Vidalia Police Department at 318-336-5254 or Natchez Police Department at 601-445-5565.
“We’re not going to tolerate anything that’s going to put human lives at risk,” Lewis said.
Lewis and Stockman both said citizens should not take action themselves as Prater is considered to be armed and dangerous.
