LORMAN — Barry L. Bequette, dean and director of land-grant programs for the Alcorn State University School of Agriculture, Research, Extension and Applied Sciences, was recently accepted into the fall 2011 Food Systems Leadership Institute, an executive leadership development two-year program for academia, industry and government.
The FSLI enhances personal and professional development by emphasizing leadership competencies, skills for organizational change, and a broad, interdisciplinary perspective of food systems. The FSLI experience prepares scholars for upper level leadership roles in food system programs, and to assume broader leadership responsibilities within their organizations.
“I look forward to this leadership training to equip me with knowledge and skills to act as an agent of change at Alcorn State University,” Bequette said.
