FERRIDAY — Louisiana HomeCare — Miss-Lou has earned accreditation from The Joint Commission, recognizing the agency’s commitment to quality and safety in home care.

To receive accreditation, Louisiana HomeCare — Miss-Lou underwent a rigorous, unannounced on-site survey. A team of Joint Commission surveyors evaluated the agency for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.

Louisiana HomeCare – Miss-Lou is part of LHC Group Inc., a national provider of home health and hospice services. LHC Group is the only national home health provider pursuing 100 percent Joint Commission accreditation, and more than 250 of the company’s agencies have achieved accreditation.

The facility will host a holiday open house on Dec. 10.
