CYPRESS, Texas — Christine Hartley of Cypress, Texas was elected to serve a three-year term on the Cypress Fairbanks ISD Board of Trustees.

She is the daughter of Wayne and Barbara Potter of Natchez and Judith and Macky Evans of Cypress, and the daughter- in-law of Joe and Micki Hartley of Natchez.

Hartley, a graduate of Cypress Creek High School and LSU, said she decided to run for the position on the board of trustees after spending several years volunteering in district schools. She received 62 percent of the vote.

“I’m truly overwhelmed by the amount of support I’ve been shown the past few months,” Hartley said. “It was a joy to see so many friends come out and vote.”
