During the show, a group of expert matchmakers will pair up eligible singles in the city dubbed “Lovetown” over the course of 30 days.

If chosen, the crew will be filming in early 2012 in hopes to bring love to the entire town.

Besides matching couples, the show has encouraged participation by the mayor, local business, community leaders and citizens.

Natchez residents of all ages are invited to come out at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at the gazebo on the bluff to show their support of the project and let producers know why Natchez should be chosen to become Lovetown, USA.

Christine Shaw, vice president of communications at BBC Worldwide Productions, said the show’s creators are looking for a town with a population of 15,000 with a lot of singles and a lot of community spirit.

Applications are still being accepted and are critical in helping producers make their decision.
