Thank you to local Catholic community

I want to thank The Rev. David O’Connor, pastor at St. Mary Basilica and Assumption Church; parishioners of both parishes; teachers and administrators of Cathedral School and parents of Cathedral students; and all my new friends in Natchez for everything you have done for me while I interned here the last several months.
My time in Natchez was an experience that I will keep for the rest of my life. During my internship here, I have grown to see you as my true friends because a true friend sees your valuable qualities as well as your faults and never fails you.
You have believed in me and have encouraged me as I have worked to learn how parishes operate. You have given me support in many ways — with dinner invitations, visits to your homes, activities with the youth, English lessons, trips to places around Natchez, and so much more. You have helped me to improve; and for your understanding, your invaluable help, your patience and kindness, and your wise advice and guidance, please accept my deepest appreciation.
I also want to say thank you to all the Cathedral School students. You have been a blessing and an inspiration in the beginning of my journey in my ministry. To the Green Wave team, I always enjoy watching you play; the effort that you put forth into your games and your playing inspires me to do the same in my ministry. I am going to miss visiting with you at the school, but you will always be in my heart and in my prayers.
I want to thank all of the staff at St. Mary and Assumption parishes for your love and your help, your advice and your kindness. You have made my life bright from the first moment I walked into the office, and I enjoy every minute I have spent with you.
I am leaving Natchez to resume my studies for the priesthood at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans.
I will miss all of you as well as your support, kindness and friendship. Natchez will forever be in my heart, and I hope that many of you will join me at my ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Jackson in the near future.
Thank you, my dear friends, for your care, attention, understanding and love. God bless you.
Hasta pronto, Amigos!
