NATCHEZ — The accounting firm of Silas Simmons LLP recently announced that Haley Whittington Meng and Moses Ard have joined its professional staff.

Meng earned her bachelor in accountancy degree from the University of Mississippi in 2011. She interned with Silas Simmons during the spring of 2011.

Meng is the daughter of Steve and Tammy Whittington of Natchez, and is a 2006 graduate of Cathedral High School where she was selected as valedictorian of her class.

Meng and her husband, Elliot reside in Frogmore, with their two dogs, Kona and Olive.

Ard earned his bachelor of accountancy degree from Mississippi State University in 2010, and a master of taxation from MSU in 2011. While attending MSU, he was a member of Beta Alpha Psi.

Ard is the son of Susan Sanford of Columbia, and M. C. Ard of Dexter. He is a 2002 graduate of Columbia Academy.

Ard and his wife, Melissa, are residents of Natchez.
