Vidalia native completes Air Force basic training

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Air Force Airman Jacob L. Couie recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits through the Community College of the Air Force.
Couie is now reporting to Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi to begin his training for air traffic control.
He is the son of Chris and Cindy Couie. He attended Vidalia High School and Chamberlain-Hunt Academy.
