NATCHEZ — Julia Saloni of Brandon has been hired as a chemistry instructor for the Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Natchez campus.
Saloni is a graduate of Wroclaw University of Technology, Wroclaw, Poland, with a master of science degree in chemical technology and Jackson State University with a master of science and doctorate — both in chemistry.
She is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Active National Postdoctoral Association, Sigma-Xi — the Scientific Research Society and Society for Molecular Imprinting. In 2003, Saloni was honored during graduate student appreciation week at Jackson State for outstanding leadership.
“We are fortunate to have Dr. Saloni join the faculty at Co-Lin Natchez,” Vice President Teresa Busby said. “She brings a very strong academic background and will be an asset to our students.”
Off campus, Saloni enjoys spending time with her children, playing outdoors, reading books and cooking.
She is the mother of three sons, J.J., 7, and twins Jonathan and Julian, 4.
