Malt Shop is part of why I love Natchez

I am so sad to hear about the Malt Shop accident.
My friends and I visit Natchez just about every year and we never miss a trip to the Malt Shop. Catfish sandwich, curly fries and a chocolate malt — my mouth waters just thinking about it.
I, too, am saddend by the destruction of the picnic table.
My initials, along with all of my fellow Canadian visitors, were carved in it too.
I loved the bounce in the long plank seat and the unsual height of it all.
The staff was always so polite and friendly.
I sure hope they recover and get back on their feet real soon.
Natchez wouldn’t be the same without places like this. My best to the wonderful Malt Shop folks and we will be back.
I’ll have the usual please and thanks.
