My letter was featured more than two months ago, and things look worse now (concerning grass maintenance near area roadways). I had out-of-town guests for the Fourth of July who all commented about how Natchez looks really run down. If this isn’t a wake up call, what is? Imagine all others driving through our city either coming for a visit or passing through who share that opinion.

What can we do as a community to address this problem? Yes, it’s hot outside, but time is wasting, and our unsightly appearance is going to give others the wrong message.

Time to clean things up! We look like a dump! Natchez must maintain itself better.
