Transportation for visitors needed

Kudos, to Publisher Kevin Cooper, for your recent column on tourism that hit the mark!
Your thoughts and suggestions regarding the lack of “services” available to tourists visiting the visitors’ center was sorely needed.
I just hope that the Natchez Board of Aldermen heeds your comments. I serve as a National Park Service volunteer two days a week at the center and have noticed that there is nothing available to transport (besides their own vehicles) visitors to the venues I suggest they tour/dine/shop/visit, etc.
Let’s put the carriage companies to work “down there.”
Let’s use all of these empty shuttle buses/trolleys (that are parked there) to take tourists around town and to other sites within Adams County (e.g., Historic Jefferson College).
I’m sure that a fair service charge can be arranged to ensure a profit for the carriage companies and to cover costs incurred by the city trolleys used in transporting visitors around our historic sites.
