VIDALIA — A man allegedly responsible for causing a stir in the Lake St. John area Thursday morning has been arrested by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
James Keith Mays, 36, 461 Deville Drive, Jonesville, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, open container, no driver’s license on person, no seat belt and a probation and parole violation Thursday.
The CPSO had received complaints from Lake St. John residents early Thursday claiming that Mays had been walking to resident’s houses asking suspicious questions.
Concordia Narcotics Task Force Officer Lt. Greg Jackson and Lt. Chris Groh pulled Mays over on Louisiana 568 on a regular traffic violation.
When Mays exited the vehicle, Groh said a crack cocaine-smoking pipe fell out of the truck and onto the ground.
The officers then made their arrest on Mays.
There is no bond currently set for Mays.
