Motorcyclist seriously injured in wreck Sun.

NATCHEZ — A motorcyclist from Monterey was seriously injured Sunday morning after a pickup truck collided with his motorcycle on Louisiana 129 at the intersection of Louisiana 565.
A Louisiana State Police press release says troopers responded to the wreck at 7:45 a.m., which involved a 1998 Chevrolet pickup driven by Phillip W. Smith, 74, and a 2011 Honda motorcycle driven by Hulon R. Parrish, 51.
The collision was caused when Smith, heading south on Louisiana 129, turned left into the path of the northbound motorcycle, the release says.
Both men were transported to Riverland Medical Center. Parish was treated for serious injuries, and Smith was treated for minor injuries.
Routine toxicology tests are pending, the release says, and the accident remains under investigation.
Smith was charged with Failure to Yield.
