Forest Ray “Peter” Stump

ONESVILLE — Services for Forest Ray “Peter” Stump, 81, of Wisner, La., who died Friday, May 20, 2011, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Good Road Pentecostal Church in Jonesville with the Rev. Bryan Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, La.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today in the church.
Stump was born Oct. 19, 1929, in Vidalia, the son of Fay and Lucy Stump. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Gaylord, Bill and Cleveleand Stump; two sisters, Mary Lee Gerald and Elizabeth Stump; and a great grandson, Zachary Sutton.
Mr. Stump had been a resident of Wisner for 30 years and attended Good Road Pentecostal Church in Jonesville. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving the U.S. Army. He was a retired house mover.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Gracie Netherland Stump; two sons, Joe Stump and wife Nelva and Tracy Stump and wife Sherry, all of Jonesville; two daughters, Diane Tuccio and husband Joe and Sandy Reagan and husband Wayne, all of Natchez, mother-in-law Philisty Netherland, two brothers, Charles Stump and wife Charlene of Natchez and Gaynard “Buck” Stump and wife Grace of Jena, La.; four sisters, Geneva Masters and husband A.B. and Marie Clotfelter, all of Columbia, La., Angus Falgout of Fortuna, Calif., and Virginia Klick of Vidalia; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, a special nephew, John McVay and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Guy Tuccio, Chris Reagan, Gene Tuccio, Staff Sgt. Joseph Stump, Carlos Stump, Mike Wooter, Leighton Edwards and James Freeman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Reagan and Ray Stump.
