School helped make event great

It feels so good to write a letter of commendation to some special folks who really know what it means to rise to the occasion and help out in a potentially negative situation.
On Tuesday, April 19, the Miss-Lou Regionalism Education Subcommittee sponsored a session on Internet Safety for eighth graders in Adams County. The last thing one ever wants to happen, did.
The speaker couldn’t make it! So there we were with two groups of young people and nothing to say.
The folks at the Steckler Building on the campus of Natchez High School were wonderful! They dropped everything they were doing and helped us come up with Plan B. They made the technology work, they got on the phone and found resources and information for us; and most of all, they made us feel like everything was going to be OK! Their attitudes and customer service skills truly were set on positive that day . . . and I can only imagine that this is the way they are all the time.
Many, many thanks to Dr. Anthony Morris and all the staff at the Steckler Building, especially Beatrice Collins, Fred Butcher and Anthony Irving.
You made our day!
On behalf of Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce President Debbie Hudson and the committee, we thank you.
