NATCHEZ – Services for Lonzo “Alonzo” Bowman, 71, of Natchez, who died March 31, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Edgar Wright officiating.

Burial will follow at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bowman was born Nov. 14, 1939, in Franklin County, the son of Charlie Bowman and Ollie Wilson Bowman.

He was a carpet and floor installer for a number years in the Miss-Lou.

Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Bettye Graham Bowman of Natchez; three daughters, Anne Bowman of Natchez, Robin Bowman Romans and husband, Richard, Marilyn Bowman of Woodville; two grandchildren; three brothers, James C. Bowman and wife, hazel, of Magee, Charles Edward Bowman of Vidalia and Kenneth Bowman of Jackson; three sisters, Nell Martin and husband, Billy, of Florence, Mildred Lee of Jackson, and Aleane Golmon of Houston; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Richard Romans, Gary Bowman, Rick Walters, Jodie Bland, L. J. Britt and Buddy Mohon.

Honorary pallbearer will be Herman Eldridge.
