NATCHEZ — The Krewe of Killarney is ready to fall in line behind its Pied Piper next week, there’s only one problem — no piper.
The krewe is currently searching for a bagpipe player to lead the annual St. Patrick’s Day walking parade, member Bob McWilliams said.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the scheduled piper won’t be able to attend.
“We’ve not been able to find an available person to play the bagpipe,” McWilliams said. “If anyone is interested, we’ll reimburse him for any expenses.”
The parade is March 17, and lineup starts at 5 p.m.
The krewe will walk down Main Street to the gazebo on the bluff. After a short ceremony, the piper’s duties would be done.
Anyone interested in playing the bagpipes for the parade can contact McWilliams at 601-442-5961 or 601-442-3031.
