FAYETTE — At 5:57 p.m. Monday, a southbound SUV driving on U.S. 61 north of Mississippi 552 left the roadway and fatally injuring the 68-year-old driver.

The SUV, a 2008 Chrysler, driven by Moses Garner of Port Gibson, left the roadway to the right and rolled several times, ejecting the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt.

Garner was transported to Claiborne County Hospital where he died from his injuries.

No one else was in the vehicle.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
