NATCHEZ — Crank up the gas logs and shake the dust off the mittens, the cold is on its way.
Expected rains today should bring in a cold front late tonight dropping temperatures into the low 30s. Temperatures Sunday night and Monday will dip into the low to mid 20s with wind chills in the teens for the Miss-Lou, National Weather Service Meteorologist-in-Charge Alan Gerard said.
North Mississippi will see temperatures in the teens and wind chills in the single digits by Monday.
By mid-week, temperatures should begin warming again.
Despite the cold, the air should be dry, Gerard said, and without ice or snow.
