NATCHEZ — Jerry Ogden will pay $500 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the culprit responsible for stealing his Heather Drive street sign.
Ogden said the sign has been stolen four times in the past 20 years, and it costs him approximately $450 to replace the custom sign from Southern Signs, Inc., for his private drive in Elgin subdivision.
Ogden filed a report with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office July 13 after noticing the sign was missing July 1.
“Probably some boy has some girlfriend named Heather.
“What is it really worth to them other than they’re vandalizing and destroying stuff?” Ogden asked.
Ogden said he shares Heather Drive with three neighbors, but he has personally kept up the sign since he bought his home on Heather Drive 1981.
Anyone with information should call the Adams County Sheriff’s office at 601-442-2752.
