NATCHEZ — A man was seriously injured Tuesday morning when his motorcycle collided with an SUV outside the United Way Office on Canal Street.
The man, whose identity is unknown, sustained injuries to his shoulder and leg, said United Way Executive Assistant Carol Follmer.
“I heard it, I went outside and I just saw (the SUV) pulling away from the young man that was on the motorcycle,” Follmer said. “We called 911 and ran over there to see what we could do.”
“(The man) was in pain. (The SUV) had run over his shoulder and leg, and I don’t know whose fault it was. I didn’t see the actual accident.”
Follmer said it took 15 minutes for an ambulance to arrive on the scene. The accident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
