NATCHEZ — A third person connected to the Feb. 17 double homicide in Adams County has died.
Dora Lee, 39, died at approximately 2 p.m. Sunday at Natchez Community Hospital, Coroner James Lee said.
James Lee said Dora Lee was at the 5 East St. residence in the Fenwick community, when it is believed two gunmen entered the house with the intent to rob Carl Williams, 50.
Williams and Stephanie Anderson, 19, were shot and killed that night. Tina Garner, 16, was shot once in the hip and has been released from the hospital.
Dora Lee was not shot in the incident, but James Lee said she was “hit in the head multiples times with a gun that night.”
She was treated for injuries in the emergency room at Natchez Community Hospital.
Since that time family members of Dora Lee said she suffered from seizures and dizziness, James Lee said.
“She had a seizure today as well and did not make it,” James Lee said.
Dora Lee’s body has been sent to Jackson for an autopsy James Lee said. He expects to have results from the autopsy sometime Monday.
“I strongly believe the injuries she received on Feb. 17 contributed in a big way to her death,” James Lee said.
No official cause of death has been determined.
“Even if she had something else going on, the blunt trauma is going to be listed as a contributing factor,” he said.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office identified three persons of interest soon after the murders, but has not made any arrests yet.
Sheriff Chuck Mayfield could not be reached for comment Sunday.
