Natchez man arrested for Roxie bank robbery

MEADVILLE — A Natchez man has been arrested in connection with the December armed robbery at Bank of Franklin in Roxie.
Donald J. Wilson, 30, 278 Cranfield Road, was arrested near the intersection of U.S. 84 and Cranfield Road Saturday, Franklin County Sheriff James Newman said Tuesday.
Wilson is charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest, Newman said. The resisting arrest charge will be filed in Adams County.
Wilson is being held at the Franklin County Jail. Bond is set at $200,000.
Newman credited the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office for assisting in Wilson’s arrest and the continuing investigation.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is offering a cash reward for information leading to additional arrests. Newman said the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
“We’re still looking for several other suspects,” Newman said. “There were several other people involved.”
