NATCHEZ — Customer service classes for county and city employees are slated to begin on Jan. 20.
Copiah-Lincoln Community College Workforce Development Center Director Angela Berch said the classes are open to 20 individuals and last approximately two hours.
“Departments can’t send all of their employees at once so after this initial class, we will continue this until we get through all of the employees,” she said.
The class will be at the 911 dispatch center. They are being offered free of charge.
The class will focus on four principles of customer service including how to handle difficult customers.
Any space in the class not filled by county and city employees will be available to local businesses, Berch said.
Businesses interested in enrolling in the class should call Berch at 601-643-8715.
After the first class, the program will be offered twice a month in Natchez.
Classes are also offered throughout the year through Co-Lin Natchez. The next available course at the Natchez campus is March 25. To enroll in that class call Tony Dobbins at 601-643-8714.
