Falling debris injures two people

NATCHEZ — According to a Natchez Police Department police report, two people standing outside of 519 Main St., the building adjacent to Mainstream Fitness, were hit by falling concrete on Friday evening.
A pile of remaining rubble shows concrete hunks ranging from minor debris to pieces approximately six inches in length and width and an inch and a half thick fell from the top of the padlocked building, hitting one individual in the shoulder and back area.
The other person reported he was hit in the head by a piece of concrete.
American Medical Response Ambulance Service responded to the scene, and both individuals were transported to Natchez Community Hospital for medical assistance.
Police Chief Mike Mullins said he was unaware of the incident and had no further information.
