NATCHEZ — Arrests are imminent in a dispute that escalated to shots being fired in the Natchez Market No. 2 parking lot on U.S. 61 North Friday.
Natchez Police Sgt. Craig Godbold said the incident is no way connected to Natchez Market and was a case of “a couple of thugs who had a run-in with each other.” No injuries were reported in the incident.
“It was a continuous dispute that spilled over to that area,” Godbold said.
Shots were fired in the parking lot from a vehicle driven by one of the suspects, Godbold said. The vehicle then sped off toward Morgantown Road.
“We’re investigating the case, and we’ve got enough (evidence) to make the arrest,” Godbold said.
