Waste Management equipment stolen

NATCHEZ — A $3,500 reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of the thieves who stole a significant amount of equipment from a local company.
Sometime between Sept. 5 and 6, someone broke into the Waste Management location on U.S. 61 South and stole a 6320 John Deer tractor and a 15-foot bushhog, Adams County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Jerry Brown said.
Then, on Sept. 16, someone broke in and stole a 1999 GMC pickup truck, a 10-foot tandem axel trailer, an Exmark zero-turn lawnmower, three Honda generators and a steel weed eater, Brown said.
The truck was recovered Sept. 18 after if was found abandoned on the side of the road in Jackson, Brown said.
Waste Management is offering a $2,500 reward and Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved, Brown said.
