FERRIDAY — Nineteen teams got out and participated in the Vidalia Chamber of Commerce annual golf tournament at Panola Woods Country Club in Ferriday.

The event was a three-person scramble and the Delta Bank team, with members Michael Burley, Jess Horton and Daniel Jackson came in first place with a score of 14-under-par.

Second place was the D&D Drilling team of Jordan Farmer, Dee Horton and Danny Parks with a score of 13-under-par while the Concordia Bank team of Pat Biglane, Pat Hinson and Cathy Hinson took home third place honors with a score of 12-under-par.

Chamber Golf Chairman Josh Wilson said the event was a great success.

“It was a beautiful day to be on the golf course and to help support the Vidalia Chamber of Commerce,” Wilson said. “This is always a fun tournament that I look forward to playing in each year.”

Wilson said that the weather, course and volunteers all combined to make the event one to remember.

“The weather was nice and the course was in good shape which made for a great day,” Wilson said. “I’d like to thank all the sponsors and volunteers for making this year another success.”
