Fish tournament registration begins Friday

VIDALIA — Registration for the 17th annual Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office and Miss-Lou Merchants D.A.R.E. Youth Fishing Tournament begins Friday.
Debbie Gee with the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office said interest in the tournament is already spreading.
“We’ve already had a lot of parents calling about signing up for the tournament,” she said. “The kids are ready to go fishing.”
Registration for the tournament, which will be Sept. 29, will end at noon Sept. 28.
Registration is $6 per entrant. Entrants must be between the ages of two-years-old and 18.
Registration can be completed at the CPSO’s Vidalia office and its Monterey and Doty Road substations.
Registration can also be done at Concordia Bank and Trust’s Vidalia and Monterey locations, the Concordia Sentinel in Ferriday, Sports Center in Natchez and Catahoula Bank in Jonesville.
All tournament proceeds will go to the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program in Concordia Parish.
