NATCHEZ &045; The Rev. John Johnson thought, at first, that his stereo had exploded.
&uot;I heard a loud bang and a pop,&uot; Johnson said. &uot;I had just turned my stereo off. I thought it was that, Š
or my computer.&uot;
What Johnson actually heard was the sound of a bullet flying through the window next to his desk.
At about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Johnson, pastor at First United Pentecostal Church, was sitting at his desk catching up on some paperwork.
That’s when he heard the bullet crash through the window.
At first, he couldn’t figure out what had caused the sound &045; until he saw the broken window blinds and a hole bored diagonally into the wall, where the bullet had apparently lodged.
And once he saw it, he didn’t waste time running into the other room to phone the Sheriff’s Office. &uot;Sitting here (in my office), I’m between two windows,&uot; Johnson said.
The case is still under investigation.
But Johnson said he isn’t sure who could have done something like this.
&uot;At first I thought it was kids playing with a BB gun &045; but these aren’t kids,&uot; he said. &uot;We haven’t had any problems with anyone like this.&uot;
